After years of leading brand strategy in ad agencies, here's what I know for sure: the most consistent industry-agnostic trend among organizations = all business problems lead back to people problems.

Marketing, sound business strategy, technology or operations won’t outweigh the power of your culture. Your culture, after all, will eat your strategy for breakfast. It’s your people that will make/break your best laid plans.

Good leaders understand how to get the right kinds of people data to make predictions about those plans. Whether diagnosing the health of your organizational culture, engagement levels, or individual job fit—strong leaders also understand that closing the gaps the data reveals requires new skills and behaviors.
